Dear friends:
In the media world, we have written a new success story! Today Malayalis around the globe talk about MFG which is a common name now, as is our E-zine.
In this issue we have focused on a classical Indian art-form, Bharatanatyam. We chose to write about two exceptionally talented artists, Geeta Chandran and Mythili Prakash who have sacrificed their professional career due to the burning passion for Bharatanatyam and today they are well known brand ambassadors of this classical art form. We are sure, you will enjoy reading their interviews.
Another attraction is the interview of an Indian artist, Vijender Sharma. We are sure, his album of paintings in this issue will be an inspiration to many, as will be his life story.
Life on this planet is full of ups and downs, success and disappointment and births and deaths. It is an eternal cycle. This month saw the passing away from our midst such great men like Dr K. N. Raj, an economist par excellence, the thespian Cochin Haneefa who entertained millions and the talented lyricist Girish Puthenchery. We are the poorer with their deaths but take comfort in the truth that the lives of great men leave footprints on the sands of time.
February also sees the annual ritual of the Union Budget and the Railway Budget. Let us hope the Finance Minister’s briefcase brings out relief for the average citizen and the Railway Minister’s budget more cheer for Malayalis with new trains for God’s own country!
We express our gratitude to all contributors & Smt Santhini Govindan who helped us in editing work for this issue.
Cheers!
